We’re always inspired by the creative ways you support Maggie’s at home, at work, at school and elsewhere. Here are a few ideas to help you pick a fundraising activity that is fun, easy and that works for you.
At home
- Birthday fundraiser – instead of a birthday present, ask family and friends to donate to your Maggie's fundraising page
- Coffee morning – get your friends and families round for a cuppa and cake to raise money at your Kitchen Table Day
- Personal challenge – from push ups, to giving up chocolate, or even a swear jar! Test yourself and raise sponsorship money for Maggie's
- Jumble sale – clear out your old clothes, furniture and gadgets to sell online via Ebay, Vinted, Depop and Facebook Marketplace, donating all proceeds to Maggie’s
- Dinner party – host your own 'Come dine with me' and hold a dinner party as a fundraiser
- Pamper day – Invite your friends and indulge yourselves in a night of pampering, in all while supporting Maggie’s
At work
- Bake sale – Ready, set, bake! Sell sweet treats to your colleagues in a cake sale for Maggie’s
- Dress-down day – Get your work mates involved and make a donation each to Maggie’s to come to work in your comfy clothes
- Sweepstake – Whether it's for the football, Strictly or Eurovision, ask your coworkers to contribute, with a prize for the winner
- Hour of earning - Challenge yourself and your colleagues and donate an hour of pay to Maggie's
- Raffle - Gather some great donated prizes and sell raffle tickets, with profits going to Maggie's
- Skills-bidding – Encourage your colleagues to list their skills and ask other to place bids on receiving a one-hour lesson with that person and their skill
At school
For kids
- Tuck shop – Ask your family to help you cook up some treats that you can sell at school for Maggie's
- Sponsored silence – Let your teachers enjoy some peace and quiet for the day and get sponsored for being quiet
- Whatever fundraising activity you do in school, remember to ask your teachers for permission first
For teachers
- Art Exhibition - Hold a ticketed event to show off your pupils' masterpieces to family and friends
- Book sale - Encourage reading amongst pupils in your school by holding a book sale for kids to share their pre-loved books
- Sports tournament - Get the kids active and competitive with a fun-filled sports day, asking for a participation donation
- Non-uniform day - Get your school involved and have everyone come to work in their owns clothes for a small donation to Maggie’s
